My son describes Heather as patient, creative and imaginative. My wife and I agree 100%. We like Heather very much and feel fortunate that she has been able to work with our son. He looks forward to his animation lessons each week and he always has something new and fun to show us after each lesson. Working with Heather has been an ideal way to encourage our son's growing interest in computer animation.

My son has been working with Heather for almost a year he is always excited when tuesday comes and always has his homework finished so we can work with Heather. he has made the most increddible work that he is proud to show...she is a rock star !!! and we will work with her again in the fall she is amazing.

Hands down my son's favorite hour of the week. She fosters his creativity and teaches him how they can turn his ideas into reality. Heather is kind, patient and is fostering his interest in computer animation which I never would have been able to do myself.

My daughter had a great time making videos with Heather and was able to learn lots of new techniques. Heather is very knowledgeable, patient and caring. She is quiet and calm, which is a great asset for kids who are not good with "new" situations. She is also very flexible, letting the child be in control of where the video goes - all round wonderful!

Heather has worked with my son for a year and he has learned so much about computer animation. Heather has made each week interesting and challenging. They have created numerous animated shorts together and each one has its own unique look and humor. A great way for kids with interest in computer animation to enhance their understanding of the process.

Heather has an amazing gift. My son has a lot of difficulty expressing himself, but Heather has helped him utilize one of his talents to help him do just that. She is patient, and always follows the student's lead. She is firm but nurturing of his creativity. She has also worked with my daughter and I have never seen her so focussed and excited.

Not only is she an amazing teacher, she is an amazing teacher. We have been very fortunate that she has been able to work with our kids for the last two years, and hope she will as long as she will have us!

My son has taken several animation classes with Heather and has loved every one of them. She gives valuable guidance and instruction, but ultimately lets the kids be who they want to be and create what they want to create. The classes develop storytelling skills, technical skills and visual literacy and the work product is wildly satisfying. We're big fans of Heather's gentle creative spirit.

We are originally from NYC and had to move to CT for business. We have been bringing our 9 yr old son to the city for animation lessons with Heather every week for almost 2 years now. The teacher at his Montessori school also said that his writing skills have improved since he's been writing storyboards with Heather during the lessons. My son usually does not like writing, but Heather certainly knows how to hold his interest and have fun at the same time. His computer skills are also improved and so are his artistic skills. He also enjoyed watching the films that he produced and a few of them were quite amazing. Heather is a very nice, cool, easy-going and talented teacher. She knows how to deal with kids and keep them interested. My son just loves taking lessons with her and can't wait for the next! We are very lucky to have found such a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend!

I highly recommend working with Heather. My kids have done stop animation which is super fun. They learn character development and storytelling in a fun + playful way. They love to share their animations with their friends. They are so proud of their work and the other kids always respond with great big smiles and "I want to make one too". I particularly like Heather's critiques, she is positive and targets the strengths in the work. She treats them like artists and they are thrilled with the atmosphere of respect. It isn't cheap but the results are amazing. I think my children will be showing their animations to their children... so cool!

My son really got a lot out of these lessons. They were very mellow but thorough, and he was entirely comfortable and pleased with how much he learned. Highly recommended.
